We are now recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join us. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager this role will be responsible for supporting our Bedford depot in getting our stock to our customers across the country!


Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Picking stock and loading our trailers ready for delivery.
  • Manually pick stock from storage locations, including small and large pack.
  • Ensure all orders are picked correctly according to the instruction from our voice picking system and ready for vehicle loading in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring safe manual handling techniques are used across the site.
  • Working in line with current Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
  • Wrapping and re-wrapping stock/pallets.
  • Working safely with the use of forklift trucks/Counterbalance.
  • Accurate picking, and attention to detail is essential.
  • To report any accidents to the Warehouse Supervisor.

 

Hours

40 hours a week on a rotational shift pattern. Working Monday to Friday either starting at 6am and finishing at 2pm starting at 2pm and finishing at 10pm, however flexible working hours may be requred to cover sickness and holiday.

 

Experience and Key Attributes required:

 

  • Previous experience of working in a similar fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
  • The ability to work with the minimum of direct supervision and effectively within a team.
  • Be committed to providing first class customer service
  • Be aware of and work consistently with the Job Safety Instructions
  • Be physically fit due to the high amount of lifting required.
  • Some experience of using pallet trucks
  • A valid FLT licence is ideal.
  • Literacy and numeracy literate.
