Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company (CMBC) is one of the leading, historic brewers in the UK. Formed out of a joint venture between Carlsberg UK and Marston’s PLC, we combine over 300 years of shared values, history, and heritage in UK brewing. We are now recruiting for a Technical Engineer to join us. Reporting to the Site Packaging Lead this role will:

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate team members for tasks and major maintenance activities including preparation, execution, and validation for the completed work.
  • Ensure the maintenance team are organised and update on their priorities & objectives via their team leaders and/ or the Maintenance Manager.
  • Relevant training of operators and technicians, upskilling and appropriate use of unscheduled downtown.
  • Supervising and responsible for the safety, quality, and results of any external contractors.
  • Create and update the planned maintenance activities in the relevant systems (RCA/ BDA).
  • Ensure performance management through suitable and relevant KPI’s.
  • Lead risk assessments and compliance checks where needed.
  • Ensuring continuous improvement in all we do & leading development and implementation of excellence programs.

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • University degree in Engineering – mechanical, electrical, automation or food technologies
  • Experience in relative position in a production environment.
  • Previous experience in continuous improvement programs would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of the mechanics, hydraulics & pneumatics, electricals and automation.
  • Ability to build process specifications and use instrumentation to ensure that process control, quality and safety standards are always met.
  • Fluent in English – both spoken and written.
