Job Title: Brewing & Processing Operative

Location: Burton-On-Trent

Full Time

Shifts: 06:00-14:00 rotating 14:00-22:00

Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic and popular beers & soft drinks, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn to ale favourites such as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic’s brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Ice Tea and Rockstar Energy.

With a strong national footprint, the Carlsberg Britvic business includes 5 production facilities and 16 logistics depot’s servicing customers up and down the UK. As these two historical businesses have come together, the one common goal remains, and that is ensuring our people succeed.

About the role:

You’re responsible for turning raw ingredients into high‑quality wort, guiding it through fermentation, and preparing finished beer for the packaging team. It’s a hands‑on production role that sits right at the heart of the brewing process.

 Key Accountabilities:

• A strong eye for detail and a genuine enthusiasm for producing high‑quality brands.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring smooth teamwork and accurate completion of production and quality records in line with audit standards.
• A proactive approach to working safely while meeting production targets and maintaining exceptional plant hygiene.
• Confidence working with a variety of machinery, with the ability to problem‑solve and report defects promptly to relevant departments.
• Commitment to following safe working procedures when manually handling malt, hops, and chemicals throughout the brewery.
• A safety‑first mindset, actively identifying, reporting, and removing hazards to support our Zero Accident Culture.
• Flexibility to work across multiple areas within the Brewing and Fermenting department, with a positive attitude toward change and continuous improvement.
• Ability to use initiative, make informed decisions, and prioritise critical tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

Experience and Key Attributes required:

• Previous experience in production or food manufacturing position
• Actively promotes ''one - team'' spirit and collaboration across brewing and fermenting departments
• Competent using online programmes such as SCADA, Excel and SAP
• Working knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety and FEMAS
• Holds a counterbalance FLT license
