Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic and popular beers & soft drinks, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn to ale favourites such as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic’s brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Ice Tea and Rockstar Energy.
We are now recruiting for a Customer Development Manager to join us, developing, and implementing strategic plans to grow Carlsberg Britvic’s positioning within the given geography. Reporting to the Regional Controller, the role will:
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute customer plans in region to optimise total Volume, NR and GP and GP / HL.
- To meet agreed business objectives in new and existing accounts, through maximizing profit and distribution to increase throughputs of our products
- Build and develop relationships with customers, wholesalers and stakeholders, ensuring that we build a mutually beneficial business plan for us and our customers.
- To achieve targets for both profit and sales growth over an agreed budgeted time frame and in line with your region objectives.
- Develop & deliver robust account plans for the next 1-3 years that drive business growth and share (including strategy and tactics and bottom-up promotional program by customer).
- Establish and execute pricing strategy in accounts as necessary
- Grow share range and distribution in region through specific targets
- Conduct full evaluation of investment and promotional activity in line with Value Management principles and tools
- Manage & optimise debt risk and cash flow & track customers through My District
- Use of FIT to help generate a plan that will deliver annual objectives
- Ensuring Operation Standards are exceeded and driving Health & Saefty & the DEI agenda in everything we do
- Utilising team resource to drive optimum results for CMBC within the area
Experience and Key Attributes required:
- Experience of developing relationships across functions to enable customer plans that deliver results
- Good understanding of financial concepts and value management across relevant channels
- Ability to build mutually beneficial account plans translating these into actions and tactics
- Understanding of all significant processes from planning through to invoice receipt
- Excitement around growing brands and channels, providing high service levels to customers
- High levels of accountability for plans, action, delivery and outcome
- Performance and results focused – able to deliver against challenging targets and timescales with a passion for driving initiatives to completion
- High levels of Integrity and Initiative – with an agile and entrepreneurial spirit to respond to changes in the market or internally
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment, adaptable to change
