Location: Field Based/ Midlands – regular travel to national depots  

Permanent – Full Time

Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company (CMBC) is one of the leading, historic brewers in the UK. Formed out of a joint venture between Carlsberg UK and Marston’s PLC, we combine over 300 years of shared values, history, and heritage in UK brewing. We are now recruiting for a Logistics Continuous Improvement Coordinator to join us. Reporting to the Secondary Operations Manager, this role will be responsible for developing and supporting in the implementation of excellence training, coaching and assessments. The role will require flexibility in both location and working hours as there will be national travel to numerous sites across our network.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Training, coaching and implementation on all the elements of Continuous Improvement (CI), including to but not limited to topics such as 5S, Visual Standards, Problem Solving, Gemba Walks, Health & Safety Walks/Observations
  • Working alongside and influence the Operational Teams to integrate a Continuous Improvement toolkit into the CMBC Logistics Network
  • Promoting the need for change and assisting individuals/ teams through the change curve quickly
  • Creating routine reports covering CI plans, results, successes, and challenges
  • Represent CMBC in West Europe Regional Excellence visits to UK and around Europe, as required (typically 2 times per year)
  • Work alongside the Head of Excellence to develop the Action Plan for improvements
  • Facilitation of Improvement Workshops, taking a team through a structured improvement cycle to deliver agreed improvements to KPI’s
  • Promote all elements of CI though R&R, promotional materials (posters, banners, etc) and sharing of Best Practice

 

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives, implementing working standards across a network and maintaining a high quality of work across a complex network
  • Experience within a logistics or manufacturing environment role and at least with 1 years at management or supervisory level
  • Proven experience in managing change, and implement improvement programs (Operational Excellence, Lean, TPM, Six Sigma) to achieve budgeted targets
  • Flexibility to work across a network of distribution centres and depots as regular travel to sites will be required
  • Full UK Driving licence
