We are now recruiting for a Supply Chain Solutions Manager to join us, reporting to the Head of Network Strategy & Efficiency. In this role you will understand the dynamics of the supply chains and analyse the associated costs at a customer and product level. Using this knowledge and advanced analytical skills they will build and maintain detailed costs models which determine the cost-to-serve at customer and product leve with a high degree of accuracy. They will use output from these models to optimize network design and efficiency, work closely with other functions to enable them to optimise the supply chain and ensure customer profitability. The role requires a deep understanding of financial analysis, supply chain operations, and cost management principles.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Cost Analysis: Analyse the cost drivers and financial implications associated with all supply chain activities, such as transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and customer behaviour. Identify areas for improved insight into costs, opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Customer Profitability & Cost-To-Serve: Conduct customer profitability analysis to understand the true cost of servicing different customers. Assess the impact of commercial pricing, pricing strategies and profitability.
  • Supply Chain Optimisation: Collaborate with supply chain teams to evaluate and optimise logistics and distribution networks. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs without compromising service levels.
  • Financial Planning and Forecasting: Contribute to the financial planning and forecasting processes by providing insights into supply chain costs and performance. Work closely with the finance team to align cost projections with organisational goals and contribute to budget creation.
  • Data Analysis: Utilise data analytics tools and techniques to extract meaningful insights from large datasets. Present findings and recommendations to management for informed decision-making.
  • Performance Measurement: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain operations. Track performance against targets and highlight areas needing attention.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including supply chain, sales, marketing, and finance, to understand business needs and align cost-to-serve initiatives with overall company objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance cost-to-serve processes, develop depth of understanding of operational costs, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement throughout the supply chain.

Experience and Key Attributes required:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CFA) may be preferred.
  • Several years of experience in finance or supply chain analysis, preferably with a focus on cost management and supply chain optimisation.

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools. Knowledge of data visualisation tools or supply chain modelling software are a plus.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
