Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic and popular beers & soft drinks, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn to ale favourites such as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic’s brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy.

 

With a strong national footprint, the Carlsberg Britvic business includes 5 production facilities and 16 logistics depot’s servicing customers up and down the UK.  As these two historical businesses have come together, the one common goal remains, and that is ensuring our people succeed. 

 

About the role:

As Brand Manager for Pepsi, you will be joining a fun, creative and high performing Carbonates team. Working on the largest brand within Carlsberg Britvic, you will work in close partnership with our partners at PepsiCo and the internal cross functional team to deliver outstanding in market execution for Pepsi.

 

Role Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead key projects for both Pepsi and Carlsberg Britvic, including seasonal campaigns, flavour development, Pepsi Platform workstreams.
  • Represent and champion the brand and team in key commercial meetings, across the business and externally.
  • Collaborate with PepsiCo to deliver best in class Activation Toolkits for use by the On Trade & Off Trade shopper marketing teams.
  • To deliver the Pepsi annual operating plan (AOP) and the annual budget.
  • Leading and delivering below the line activities and working closely with PepsiCo, external agencies and the Carlsberg Britvic marketing team to deliver impactful activation programmes.
  • Proactively monitor and analyse brand and competitor performance and activity, recommending necessary changes to the annual plan, through to the business performance cycle.
  • Support the Senior Brand Manager and/or Marketing Controller in creation of the annual operating plan.
  • Bring passion and energy to the team, share learnings and build a strong culture across the wider carbs team.
  • Lead product change project management through the stage & gate process including EPD, NPD, artwork and PPA commercialisation.
  • To lead cross-functional teams (commercial & operational) for your assigned projects, providing vision and direction to ensure the effective delivery of agreed brand activities and programmes.
  • To manage brand expenditure to maximise value and ROI for the organisation and its shareholders

 

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Brand leadership experience is needed, preferably in FMCG, ideally working on a significant scale brand.
  • You’re passionate about building brands and have experience managing brand performance and P&L accountability.
  • Thrive on collaboration, leading cross-functional projects and inspiring teams to deliver outstanding results.
  • Turning consumer, shopper, and category insights into bold, actionable strategies is second nature to you.
  • Confident managing budgets and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Working with creative and activation agencies, achieving the best from them.
  • Adding creativity and vision to brand strategy, driving equity growth and profitability.
  • Comfortable navigating complex, matrix organisations and have delivered insight-led strategies that make a real impact.
