About the role:

As Senior Finance Manager, you will provide financial leadership to site teams, managing a team of four, you will drive reporting, budgeting, forecasting and insight for Beer Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead the finance business partnering for our two breweries in Northampton and Burton-Upon Trent.
  • Working from the Northampton Brewery weekly, creating rapport, building knowledge of site and stakeholder needs alongside financial plannings – ad hoc travel to our Burton Brewery.
  • Deliver accurate and timely reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for brewery operations and raw materials & packaging.
  • Provide forward-looking insights and recommendations to unlock value and enhance operational performance.
  • Partner regularly with brewery teams to build robust plans, assess risks, and identify opportunities.
  • Lead financial input for S&OP, capital expenditure, and investment decisions, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Champion a performance-driven culture, cost efficiencies, and continuous improvement initiatives on all aspects of production related costs and initiatives.
  • Develop and coach the local finance team, fostering strong collaboration with wider finance stakeholders in the UK and regional finance and supply chain teams.
  • Collaborate and work alongside with our Shared Services Team in Poznan.

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Professional accounting qualification is a necessity – CIMA
  • Previous experience in financial and performance management, ideally within FMCG or beverage industry and with production or supply chain experience.
  • Experience working in a matrix based organisation is preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with ability to translate commercial and operational factors into financial impact and vice versa.
  • Ability to influence in person and across virtual teams.
  • Skilled in SAP, data analytics, and digital tools to drive insight and decision-making.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving change in complex, matrix environments.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing skills; comfortable challenging and driving change.
