Location: Northampton

Job Length: Permanent

Working Hours / Shift: 4 on 4 off.

We are now recruiting for Shift Brewing Manager to join us. Reporting to the Head Brewer, this role will be responsible for:

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage the shift team of operators/brewers in performing raw materials intake, wort production, fermentation/maturation, filtration, and other beer processing activities.
  • Coach and develop the shift teams in troubleshooting and root cause analysis using defined problem-solving tools and methodology.
  • Effectively communicate changes to key stakeholders and escalate risk in timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance to COM standards and requirements in the shift and escalate any non-compliance as appropriate.
  • To provide SIC (site incident controller) cover across site ensuring ERT (Emergency response team) is in place each shift and team has correct skills to deploy effectively
  • Effective performance management of all direct reports, focusing on behavioural change that will both inspire and motivate individuals to deliver results.
  • Perform process confirmation audits and challenge noncompliance STDs. (CIL, 5S, Centerlining, basic conditions, SU/SD, Change overs, SOPs, etc.)

 

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Previous experience as a Production/Shift manager experience in brewery, distillery, and/or relevant environment.
  • Strong practical brewing experience across wort production, fermentation, maturation, and beer processing/filtration.
  • Capable of building positive relationships, ability to develop others through effective coaching/training.
  • Results driven and ability to align team to objectives and KPIs through policy deployment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels of the business.
  • Full UK Working Eligibility.
