We are now recruiting for an ER Advisor to join us. Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, this role will be responsible for:

Key Accountabilities:

• Providing advice to the management population on people related issues such as: disciplinaries, capability, performance management, grievance, and absence management.
• Working closely with unions and employee representatives
• Dealing with disputes appropriately (for example, mediation or tribunal cases)
• Developing effective relationships with the business to promote good employee relations across the organisation.
• Record cases accurately with a view to looking at trends in the data and highlighting issues and or trends
• Analysis of data and statistics for trends and patterns
• Develop solutions any of the issues highlighted by the data
• Provide training to the management population on ER related issues

Experience and Key Attributes:

• Strong analytical skills to enable accurate reporting of data and identification of trends
• Strong empathy and listening skills to enable a good understanding of the focus areas of each situation and to enable both employees and managers to present their cases fully
• Articulate communication skills to ensure key messages are understood by employees and managers
• Ability to negotiate under pressure to enable proactive outcomes and understand drivers for both employees and managers
• Ability to collaborate well with BP’s in own team and managers across the organisation to facilitate a healthy people agenda in funcitons
• Skilled in making appropriate decisions based on all the facts available and to understand where facts may not be clear and where to go to enable clarity
