Job Length: Permanent – Full Time
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am-4pm, 35 hours per week

About the role:
We are now recruiting for a Laboratory Technician at our Northampton Brewery. This role will report into the Laboratory Supervisor (Chemical) and will conduct chemical and microbiological sampling, analysis according to a sample plan and assist with any required maintenance of lab equipment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Complete chemical and microbiological samples and analysis according to the sample plan.
- Write and coordinate effective and replicable SOP’s/ OPLs that ensure consistency of approach, validation and verification through auditing.
- Calibration and maintenance of Quality instrumentation within the lab and production areas.
- Carry out general duties within the laboratory.
- Recording data entry and reporting of analysis.
- Ensure quality laboratories are kept in a high level of hygiene and 5S standards are maintained.
- Support with laboratory purchasing and stock control.
- Carry out sensory sessions where required.
Experience and Key Attributes:
- Science A Levels completed
- Previous experience within a laboratory environment is desired
- Understanding and knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards
- Motivated to take initiative, able to work alone when necessary, and collaborate well with others
- Methodical approach and problem solving
- Comfortable managing shifting priorities and reprioritising work as needed
