About the role: 

As a Process Team Manager, you will lead a shift team through every stage of the brewing process, combining hands‑on brewing expertise with strong people leadership to deliver safety, quality, service, and cost targets. It acts as Site Incident Controller, aligns end‑to‑end supply chain priorities, and drives seamless handovers to protect performance. Working closely with day‑based teams, it supports continuous improvement, develops SOPs, and helps build team capability in line with the Carlsberg Excellence model.

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Lead, coach, and develop shift team members to deliver strong performance across safety, quality, service, and cost.
  • Drive effective performance management, including PDRs, improvement plans, recognition, and behavioural development.
  • Maintain a visible shop‑floor presence, ensuring adherence to standards, strong process confirmation, and consistent ways of working.
  • Build team capability through skills‑matrix development, targeted training, coaching in problem‑solving, and closing skills gaps.
  • Champion safety by delivering H&S KPIs, ensuring full compliance, leading incident/accident investigations, and supporting site emergency response.
  • Support delivery of all quality KPIs, investigate non‑conformance, drive root‑cause analysis, and strengthen food safety understanding across the team.
  • Lead process confirmation audits (CIL, 5S, centre lining, changeovers, SOPs) and drive high hygiene and housekeeping standards.
  • Act as the single point of contact on shift, making decisions on resource allocation, process issues, and short‑interval control to keep the plan on track.
  • Prepare data and lead daily performance reviews, ensuring clear communication with planning, service providers, and day‑based support teams.
  • Apply Carlsberg Excellence tools and continuous improvement techniques to embed sustainable performance and develop future team capability

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Production or Shift Manager within an FMCG environment.
  • Proven background in line management and/or continuous improvement, with the ability to lead teams effectively.
  • Strong practical brewing knowledge across wort production, fermentation, maturation, filtration, and beer processing.
  • Hands‑on process leader who thrives on being out in the plant and close to operations.
  • Confident, engaging people leader who can influence at all levels and act as a role model for the team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coach, train, and develop others.
  • Results‑focused mindset with the ability to align teams to KPIs and business objectives through structured policy deployment.
  • Ambitious, driven, and committed to personal development, actively seeking and applying feedback.
