If you’re looking for a new career opportunity that revolves around premium beer, Michelin star quality food, and best in class execution then an exciting opportunity has arisen within Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company as Brand Manager for the Estrella Damm brand.

 

Reporting to the Head of Marketing for Craft, Speciality and Cider, you will deliver the strategic marketing plan to drive growth of the Estrella Damm brand in the UK, alongside our Marketing Manager, and working closely with the global Damm team. You’ll be an ambassador for one of the most premium and best performing brands in one of the fastest growing categories, and will be responsible for the growth and activation of the brand in the UK covering all elements of the marketing mix.

 

Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company is one of the newest brewers in the UK. Formed out of a joint venture between Carlsberg UK and Marston’s PLC, who are both shareholders, we combine over 300 years of shared values, history and heritage of UK brewing. The business has a strong portfolio of world beers and ales including Carlsberg, San Miguel, Hobgoblin, and Erdinger and is in the top 4 beer businesses in the UK.

You will be responsible for:

 

  • Producing and delivering clear and focused plans that deliver ROI on ATL and BTL investment.
  • Drive overall profitable growth of the brand P&L.
  • Influence across the team (Marketing & Sales, Marketing Strat and Planning) to deliver maximum value for 3xC’s/Triple Win (Customers, Consumers and the organization); built from insight.
  • Work closely with the sales teams to drive brand distribution and ensure gold standard execution.
  • Appropriate mix development: packaging, pricing strategy, marketing / sales support plan.
  • Media planning ensuring impact and effectiveness of marketing spend.
  • Sponsorship and activation accountability to ensure it delivers brand ROI.
  • Day to day management of the marketing budget and spend.
  • Protect brand attributes across a wide range of internal stakeholders.
  • Hold senior relationships with brand and agency partners.
  • Alignment and execution of the innovation pipeline to drive brand strategy and agenda. Success measured by the return generated by Innovation in the market.

 

You will have the following skills & competencies:

 

  • Experience within the drinks industry.
  • Ability to operate at a senior level whilst having a hands on approach to delivering success.
  • Broad experience and understanding across breadth of marketing fundamentals.
  • Fast paced, commercial and decisive, understanding the needs of customers, consumers and the business.
  • Successful experience of translating business agenda’s into plans and driving execution of these.
  • Obsession with plans that can be effectively executed and deliver on expectations.
  • Proven success in developing advertising and promotional materials across a mix of media.
  • Experience in developing a wide variety of creative advertising solutions to deliver brand growth aligned with portfolio and consumer.
  • Media Planning knowledge of traditional and new media channels and media agencies including digital marketing.
  • Excellent skills in developing and understanding consumer insight to develop strategies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong ability to distil data and project plans into clear actionable recommendations for senior management and team members.

The role is flexible in terms of day to day location with the Head Office being in Wolverhampton, however will require some national travel to support customer meetings and brand events.
