Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Wolverhampton

HOURS: Working 5 from 7, 40 hours across 5 days, Mornings,Days, Nights. One night shift in 6.

We are now recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join us, reporting to the Head Engineer you will work as part of the engineering teams to reduce production downtime & improve processes at our busy Wolverhampton brewery!


Key Accountabilities: 

  • Maintain outputs (H&S, Quality, and Performance) to plan.
  • Have a structured approach to fault finding.
  • Respond to breakdowns as identified by Engineering or Production Operatives.
  • Show a proactive approach and find solutions to problems.
  • Self-prioritise work schedule when necessary.
  • Identify and order spares to facilitate plant efficiency.
  • Communicate with Production and Engineers via logbooks and other methods.
  • Liaise with all other departments to understand site problems.
  • Observe all safety procedures and follow good engineering practices.
  • Take ownership of engineering tasks and responsibilities.
  • Manage and monitor PPM adherence.
  • Work shifts that will also include weekend work.



You’ll be working 41.25 hours per week on a rota, consisting of mornings, afternoons, nights and weekend shifts.


Experience and Key Attributes required: 

  • Qualified in an Electromechanical engineering discipline
  • A Maintenance engineer with a recognised apprenticeship or have over five years’ experience in industry.
  • Fully aware of H&S legislation.
  • Flexible, reliable, and confident in making decisions.
  • Confident communicating with other departments.
  • Able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Able to demonstrate bench fitting skills and ideally machining and/or welding.
  • Comfortable with working on electrical circuits and PLC controlled processes.
  • Experienced within the manufacturing industry or ideally food and beverage production industry.
