About the job

We are looking for a Head of Logistic Planning for our Logistic Operation team in Fredericia. You will become a member of the management team for the logistic operation, which holds the responsibilities of warehousing, distribution, and transportation to the Danish market.


Our Logistics planning team consists of 10 skilled planners, all of whom are committed to delivering a high-quality plan every day. The team is constantly working on personal and professional development and appreciates opportunities for growth.
 

Your responsibilities

As Head of Logistic Planning, you will have the responsibility for daily, tactical, and strategic planning. This includes daily route planning, planning of our warehouse capacity, tactical planning with our commercial colleagues, and strategic planning to drive improvements for our operation.

 

Furthermore, you will be responsible for managing the market transportation and distribution planning to ensure best-in-class customer service levels, safely, at optimal cost and asset utilization in the short and long term, while contributing personally and through direct reports to best practice optimization.

 

The responsibilities also include:

  • Maintain and develop the skills and competencies in logistic planning
  • Develop high-quality logistics plans to fulfill the company objectives and strategy by optimizing cost and customer service across supply chain operations
  • Fulfillment of cooperation through service-level agreements with other departments and rules of engagement with internal departments
  • Coordinate planning resources across responsible Distribution/Transportation/Warehouse areas as required to deliver profit and Opex goals

 

Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for a Head of Logistic Planning who can handle complex issues and consider our value chain from an “end-to-end” perspective.

 

You are managing strategic communication and have solid stakeholder management skills and can communicate to all levels in the organization.

In addition, we imagine that you have:

  • End-to-end operations knowledge
  • Functional IT management tools and ERP (related to logistics)
  • Material handling equipment, storage, and automated process knowledge
  • Distribution and transportation market knowledge and sourcing
  • Customer service excellence, service model & collaboration
  • Project Management
  • Experience working with Health and Safety
  • Knowledge about Lean/TPM
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)

 

We expect that you hold a bachelor’s degree in Logistics or equivalent and have a minimum of 5 years of experience within a supply chain environment. Further, we expect that you have proven experience in managing change in a performance-driven FMCG environment.
