The job

As our new Logistic Director, you will be a part of a local organization and culture in an international context. You will become a member of the Supply Chain Leadership Team where you will report directly to the Vice President of Supply Chain and be functional reporting to the Senior Director Customer of Supply Chain Western Europe. 

Your primary work location will be at the Warehouse and Distribution Center in Frederica, some travel days across locations in Taastrup and Aalborg will be expected. The logistic organisation consists of app. 500 employees, lead by the logistic leadership team which consist of 7 leaders (Head ofs).

This function is with high complexity and responsibility, with full automated warehouse and manual warehousing, own distribution and 3PL setup.

Your responsibilities

Your primary responsibility is to lead and develop self-managed, multi-skilled teams and to ensure high level quality of our operations as to our services and costs. This includes:

• Manage and develop cross-functional teams toward our vision of high-quality operations by creating a collaborative culture.
• Responsible for building framework agreements and negotiating local agreements for the benefit of Carlsberg and employees.
• Responsible for identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities and best practices to ensure the market logistics set-up is fit for the future. Lead the Carlsberg Excellence (Lean model) programme in Logistics.
• Participation and preparation of contracts, tendering, and negotiations for 3 PL/Logistics providers in cooperation with procurement.
• Implementation, adherence to, and execution of our Health and Safety requirements, CSR standards, quality requirements, KPIs, SLAs, CSM, and Carlsberg Excellence
• Responsible for securing sufficient resources available on a market level to meet forecasted and actual demands.
• Represent market logistic function in cross-functional projects including NPD, end-to-end tendering, route-to-market, peak season preparation, and long-term development plans.
• Responsible for warehouse, transport, and distribution functions financial planning and execution on market level according to strategy and budget incl. annual resource, planning (staff/equipment), budget, and regular budget.

Your qualifications

We are looking for a Logistic Director who has a minimum of 8 years of experience within supply chain and 5 years within people management and managing leaders. Further, we are looking for a logistic director with experience in implementing change and budget control in an FMCG environment.

We are a commercial company, and having a commercial understanding is seen as a requirement.

In addition to that we imagine that you:

• Have a bachelor’s degree in Logistics or equivalent.
• Have experience with DSD, Direct Store Distribution and Warehousing.
• Have experience with executing and implementing change
• Have experience working with the Lean Toolbox
• Have experience with union agreements and negotiation.
• You are motivated by trust and integrity.
• Have proficient analytical skills, a structured approach, and are motivated for results.
