Innovation & Portfolio Director, Carlsberg Danmark

As our new Portfolio & Innovation Director, you will be a part of the Marketing Team in Carlsberg Denmark, where you will become a member of the Marketing Management Team. You will report directly to the Vice President of Marketing. Being part of Carlsberg also means you will join our international innovation leadership group and work with colleagues from all over the world, sharing best practices and learnings.

Your responsibilities 

Your primary responsibility is to implement the portfolio strategy together with the brand teams and be the leader of a motivated team of 6 persons. You will be the owner of innovation from connecting insights into concepts all the way to the finished goods being enjoyed by our consumers.

As the new Portfolio & Innovation Director, you will play a crucial part in our motivation to create even more valuable innovations for us, our customers, and our consumers.

The role as Portfolio & Innovation Director includes:

• Motivate and develop a skilled team of 6, guiding, coaching and supporting.
• Supporting the team in prioritization, project and stakeholder management.
• Assigned, together with your colleagues, to manage the engagement and talent development, not only of your own team, but of the broader marketing team, sharing your knowledge and working toward improvement – Semper Ardens which is one of our company values.
• Owning the portfolio strategy and innovation process.
• Balancing short- and long-term innovation pipeline.
• Connecting our commercial plans with our supply chain capabilities and input into investments for future capabilities
• Responsible for P&L impact of our innovations as well as keeping our own budget.

Your qualifications

We are looking for a Portfolio & Innovation Director who has experience in people management and category and portfolio strategy. Further, we are looking for a Portfolio & Innovation Director with experience in project management, insights, concept development and connecting supply chain and commercial departments, ideally in an FMCG environment.

In addition to that, we imagine that you:

• Have experience with process ownership.
• Have experience with category and portfolio strategy.
• Have proficient analytical skills, a structured approach, and are motivated for results.
• You are an inspiring leader who focuses on developing and empowering your employees.
• You can identify yourself with our team-based, collaborative culture and leadership expectations.
• You are motivated by trust and integrity.
• You communicate effectively and take action.
• Have a master’s degree in business, marketing, or similar.
• You are fluent in Danish and English, written and oral.
