Financial Control Manager
Sinebrychoff is now hiring a Financial Control Manager to join our finance organization for a permanent, full-time position.
Financial Control Manager is responsible for Sinebrychoff’s financial accounting matters and internal financial controls. This role calls for a seasoned professional with hands-on experience in operational financial accounting and controlling. You should also have a solid background in internal financial controls, with the ability to identify and evaluate risks, conduct analyses to support reporting, and offer recommendations that drive operational improvements. You will work independently in your area of responsibility and report directly to the Head of Accounting & Customer Experience.
The workplace is located in Kerava. Sinebrychoff currently operates with a hybrid work model, allowing remote work two days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Contributing to and overseeing month-end closing activities
- Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the balance sheet
- Securing high-quality IFRS and FAS reporting and preparing statutory financial statements
- Providing support and advisory to internal and external stakeholders in finance-related matters
- Developing financial accounting processes, and driving projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with accounting legislation, regulations, standards, and internal company policies as well as communicating them and coordinating related actions
- Managing internal financial controls and control reporting
- Coordinating internal and external audits and supporting audit-related activities
What You Will Bring
- Relevant university degree and experience in financial management and controlling; knowledge of taxation is considered an advantage
- Strong understanding of financial accounting processes, Finnish accounting legislation (FAS), as well as IFRS standards and their application
- Strong understanding of internal financial controls and operational experience in working with controls
- Good process and system skills; knowledge of SAP and HFM systems is an advantage
- Proficiency in both Finnish and English, both spoken and written
