WESTERN EUROPE ERP FINANCE LEAD (Director)

 

 

We are currently recruiting for WE ERP Finance Lead, Director to join our Carlsberg Elevate Program and Western Europe Business Operations. We are looking for a team member with a solid financial toolbox as well as broad process and ERP knowledge.

 

In the role as WE ERP Finance Lead you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of the new S/4 Hana solution across Finance in Western Europe. This role will oversee multiple functional workstreams across Finance functions and processes and facilitate critical design decision-making within the governance of the project organization.  

 

 

What you’ll be doing

 

In this role, you will report to the VP Western Europe Business Operations and be part of a cross-functional, highly international, diverse Finance and ERP Program team. The majority is based in Copenhagen and out of our shared service centre in Poznan. The primary focus of the role is to lead the design, build and implementation of the new ERP system for Western Europe with the following key responsibilities:

 

  • Leading the ERP implementation project for Western Europe Finance, ensuring alignment with group standards and strategic objectives.
  • Overseeing Record to Report, Treasury, Tax, and Customer to Cash, in close collaboration with the Finance owner and process BPMs centrally and locally.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including IT, Supply Chain, and Procurement, as well as SI and BI partners, to ensure an integrated approach to ERP design and implementation.
  • Managing and providing direction to sub-process leaders and workstream leaders within the Finance domain.
  • Facilitating critical design decisions and resolve complex issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Ensuing that the ERP system meets the functional requirements of WE Finance, optimizing financial and data processes and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Developing and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk assessments, and stakeholder communications.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders to ensure buy-in and support for the project, including conducting workshops and regular updates.
  • Monitoring project progress against milestones, budget, and performance criteria, taking corrective action as necessary to ensure project success.
  • Staying close to the latest trends and best practices in ERP systems and supply chain management to inform project direction and decision-making.

 

 

What we’re looking for

 

We are looking for an experienced leader with extensive knowledge of finance processes and a deep understanding of SAP and ERP systems. You are highly structured with a strategic and analytical mindset coupled with proven expertise in managing complex ERP implementations. You are open-minded and “can do”-attitude, with a high level of integrity and energy for making a difference and delivering results with strong change leadership. We look for the following in your profile:

 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting or Economics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in process management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing ERP implementations
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Strong understanding of SAP and technical skills related to ERP systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Carlsberg/brewing industry and its Finance processes.
  • Proven experience in leading large-scale ERP implementation projects, preferably within the finance/data domain.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and teams effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering results.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence drive and lead change across the organization.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project needs.

The amount of travel days is not expected to exceed 50 days/year, though dependent on the home location of the candidate and the phase of the program.
