The job

As Finance Central Controlling & Marketing Director, you will be overall responsible for the finance processes in Carlsberg Denmark, while also acting as the Financial Business Partner for Marketing and CD&E (i.e., budget, estimate, mid-monthly driving standardization, optimizing and utilizing the use of shared services).

 

You will act as a trusted adviser and sparring partner to the top management and the CFO of Carlsberg Denmark. Further, you will lead and develop the central controlling team. The team consists of 4 Business Analysts and 2 FTEs from CSS. They are financially responsible for the management reporting to Carlsberg Group, the Board of Directors, and the local management team.

 

You will report to the CFO of Carlsberg Denmark and become a member of the Finance leadership team – being responsible for setting directions and priorities for the function
 

Your responsibilities

 

  • Financial Business Partner for Marketing and CD&E functions. Including sparring and consulting on all financial topics and having close interaction with departments ensuring brand/trade marketing plans are planned and executed in accordance with the business plan.
  • Lead and develop a team of Business Analysts and strategically promote and execute business value-adding activities within our team.
  • Coordinate and manage the finance agenda alongside the Business Partners to prioritize efforts aimed at standardizing processes, planning templates, performance management tools, and reporting. Providing transparency via development/leveraging cross-functional tools as well as educating the organization in order to drive self-management skills.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage our financial processes with an efficient and standardized approach. Facilitate regular status meetings to ensure alignment, progress, and identify gaps. Challenge existing ways of working and search for optimization opportunities.
  • Ensure good visibility and control of our commercial business through financial management, analysis, and reporting to secure company results together with the Commercial Business Partners.
  • Oversee the management reporting process and business plan reviews.
  • Strategically engage in improving and optimizing our Innovation process by owning the Business Case template and challenging assumptions as well as opportunities.
  • Ensure coordination with the Carlsberg Center of Excellence team in Poznan.
  • Engage with Group functions to coordinate and align changes within our financial processes and management reporting.
  • Support on project Elevate – the Carlsberg implementation project to S/4 Hana by ensuring resource allocation and prioritization, flagging risks and potential challenges.
  • Participate effectively in strategic processes and cross-functional projects.
  • Responsible for the finance interaction with our Coca-Cola Partner TCCC in Copenhagen and the 3rd Party Brands team in CDK.

 

Your qualifications

You hold a Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting and have experience within Financial and Performance management. You have documented leadership skills and experience working within finance in another FMCG company.

 

You are an inspirational leader who can guide, motivate, and develop high-performing teams. You understand the importance of collaboration and are skilled at bringing out the best in your team members.   • Solid business understanding and experience within core processes (Demand review, S&OP, NPD, Budget and Estimates)

  • Supports team efforts consistently
  • Structured, pragmatic, and proactive
  • Comprehensive IT understanding; intermediate Excel skills, Power-BI, and some SAP experience
  • Effective communication skills, both in writing and speaking, in Danish and English.
