Role overview

 

RTR Team is all about financial processes, controlling & internal controls. The team is responsible for ensuring accuracy, completeness & transparency of financial statements reported for Commercial and Production entities from Western Europe within established timeliness. We are cooperating with various stakeholders taking into account finance & business processes impacting financial data, often deploying an end-to-end perspective.

 

What you’ll be doing:

 

  • Advising local users and business partners on correct accounting treatment and SAP transaction usage
  • Working together with local users and business partners to explore process improvement and simplification opportunities
  • Supporting other users in solving problems
  • Driving process standardization projects
  • Being an ambassador of knowledge management and retention
  • Cooperating with automation project teams
  • Cooperating with GPO on process design activities
  • Cooperating with the RTR Process Manager
  • Cooperating with internal & external audit
  • Connecting with the RTR operations team to make sure designed RTR metrics (KPIs) are effectively implemented and tracked
  • Support in assuring correct transactional data in SAP (check data, identify problems, conduct process improvement to overcome root causes);
  • conducting financial reporting to the Group;
  • participation in the financial month-end closing process including calculation of accruals and preparing group reporting of financial statements in HFM;
  • participation in continuous improvement initiatives, new technology rollouts, and process design activities;
  • participation in the financial planning process;
  • managing the team’s collective knowledge through preparing and updating process documentation and tracking the progress of tax-relevant projects and initiatives;
  • Balance Sheet reconciliation improvement and analysis;
  • Reviewing and reporting on KPI, SLA, BPO center, and GSS operational performance;
  • Participating in various initiatives/projects.

 

We are looking for a person who:

 

  • has strong financial knowledge, with a preference for candidates with experience in shared services/business process outsourcing and an educational background in corporate finance;
  • has 3+ years of operational experience in Finance and/or Accounting;
  • has experience in the IFRS environment;
  • has worked in, and enjoys working in a diverse, international environment;
  • presents good knowledge of projects or process management methods
  • has full understanding and knowledge of financial processes;
  • has good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude;
  • has proficiency in written and spoken English;
  • navigates easily in Office365 environment and has an advanced practical knowledge of MS Excel;
  • has previously worked with SAP, Blackline, and HFM (will be an asset);
  • has good analytical skills;
