TRANSPORT & DISTRIBUTION SPECIALIST, POZNAŃ

Role overview

The Transport Control Tower, currently made up of more than 30 team members grouped into regions and functions, is focused on providing services for the Local Supply Chain Organization and Integrated Supply Chain entity, performing end-to-end transport and distribution-related processes. The Transport Control Tower department plays an important role in the shipping and receiving processes, indirectly contributing to warehouse activities to ensure a high level of customer service.

 As a Transport and distribution Specialist, you will manage daily transport operations, optimize processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives in the WE Region.

What you’ll be doing

• Receiving, checking, and processing transport orders coming from customers/requestors (including standard and non-standard orders)
• Maintaining communication daily with customers by responding to routine inquiries concerning service ordered and taking action to respond to customer’s needs
• Slot management - booking the loading/delivery slot for carriers as per transit time
• Tracking the status of orders in the Transport Management System and communicating issues and solutions - continuous tracking of orders and keeping customers informed
• Verification of occurred charges based on proof/root cause documentation
• Preparing and monitoring performance appraisal indicators (KPI), describing service level for customers being in charge of, providing appropriate data required for a final KPIs generation (reason codes introduction) and KPI’s regularly review
• Creating and maintaining relationships on the operational level within TCT and between TCT and customers (breweries, suppliers)
• Active participation in the financial process by verifying and monitoring the status of invoices.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who:

• has worked in the customer service area with a preference for candidates with experience in the logistics or transportation area
• has a University degree (min. Bachelor’s degree), educational background in logistics would be beneficial
• has worked in, and enjoys working in a diverse, and international environment
• has proficiency in written and spoken English
• has good communication and interpersonal skills
• navigates easily in Office365 environment and has practical knowledge of MS Excel
• has experience in logistics process standardization and Transport Management Systems (would be beneficial)
