What is the best thing about your job?
“That's easy, I love beer! I'm am one of the biggest beer nerds you will find, so the chance to run the microbrewery in Ziegelbrücke simultaneously with some intense projects that may impact what we produce for the public has been a fantastic opportunity and keeps me driven every day. Beer is such a dynamic, global product and the skill and creativity it takes to make beer is really underappreciated.
I am very happy to get the chance to be more involved in production after my trainee rotations ended.”

What's your favourite beer?
“That's a tough one, but if I have to choose it would be Poretti 5 Luppoli. I am a huge fan of local brews, especially those with a cult following. Living in Varese you find it everywhere and I have fond memories of 5 Luppoli and pizza to survive the hot Italian summer.”

Please give an example of when you've gone above and beyond?
“Training our teams here at ISC I get the chance to really go all in imparting new knowledge and love for the products we produce in the market. I am hugely passionate about the brewing process and we have a lot of employees at ISC very eager to gain more knowledge. Even though we are a beer company, not everyone at Carlsberg has had the chance to get hands-on experience in designing and making their own beer from start to finish, so I take as a personal challenge in getting our employees involved as much as possible. Whether it be teaching how to pour a perfect pint, or what hops to put in a modern IPA I hope I am doing my part to add a few more beer nerds to the Carlsberg Group by being here.  “

What do you bring from your previous life in the US to your job with Carlsberg?
“Way too many flannel shirts. They're basically the uniform for people from Colorado.”

Who in the world would you like to go and have a beer with?
“Nicolas Cage. He is somehow a great actor and terrible actor at the same time and seems like a hilarious guy to have a beer with. I grew up watching his movies and he's such an eccentric guy. Probably has loads of crazy stories.  “
