Digital Product Owner, Governance, Risk & Compliance Systems
Digital Product Owner, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
Shape how we use technology to manage risk at scale. Are you motivated by turning complex governance, risk, and compliance needs into intuitive products, strong data foundations, and scalable solutions?
We are looking for a Product Owner, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) to drive our global GRC platform and contribute to the development of our wider Risk & Compliance domain. You’ll combine hands-on product ownership with a broader perspective on how systems, processes, and data enable better risk management and compliance across the business.
What you will be doing
This role sits at the center of that ambition - ensuring that our GRC platform not only supports day-to-day processes, but also enables greater transparency, better decision-making, and scalable governance across the business. By connecting product execution with a broader domain perspective, you will help drive a more integrated, efficient, and future-ready GRC capability at Carlsberg.
Key Focus Areas in Your Role
Product Ownership & Delivery
- Define and communicate product vision, roadmap, and priorities aligned with business objectives.
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring linkage to business value and regulatory needs.
- Develop clear user stories and acceptance criteria with stakeholders and vendors.
- Monitor product performance and user adoption, driving continuous improvements.
GRC Digital Domain
- Ensure end-to-end coherence of processes, tools, and data within the GRC domain.
- Identify gaps and improvement opportunities, translating them into roadmaps.
- Support the long-term evolution of GRC capabilities and system integrations.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Control
- Engage stakeholders to align priorities and gather requirements.
- Lead the GRC change governance forum and manage the end-to-end change process, including documentation, testing, and approvals.
Vendor & License Management
- Act as primary liaison with the GRC platform vendor to maximize value.
- Oversee license usage and cost control, including annual reviews.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Drive enhancements in user experience, integrations, and compliance features.
- Monitor market trends and embed best practices into platform improvements.
What we’re looking for
You bring curiosity, energy, and an analytical mindset, combined with hands-on experience from leading GRC platforms such as AuditBoard, MetricStream, or ServiceNow GRC. You enjoy engaging stakeholders, simplifying complex topics, and constructively challenging when it drives better outcomes.
We value your way of thinking as much as your experience. Typically, successful candidates have:
- Experience working with GRC processes in large organizations.
- Strong understanding of risk management, compliance, and controls frameworks.
- Proven experience as Product Owner or similar role in Agile environments.
- Ability to work at both strategic and operational levels.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience in global, cross-functional teams with a structured and pragmatic approach.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, tools (Jira, MS Teams), and data visualization (Power BI or similar).
- Ability to analyze data and feedback to improve products and processes.
- Familiarity with roadmaps, performance metrics, and governance frameworks.
- A university-level degree in business, legal, or technical disciplines (advantage).
- Experience from a large multinational or consultancy considered a plus.
