Digital Service Designer

To accelerate Carlsberg’s Digital Journey, we are looking for an outstanding service designer to join our growing team of digital experts. If you have a natural flair for turning insights about our colleagues and how they interact with processes and tools into technology design recommendations to drive adoption, then you might be who we are looking for!

What you will be doing

You will drive the overall service design strategy for one or more of our global digital products. As part of this, you will team up with our product owners, delivery leads, and work with colleagues from Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, and HR to understand the success criteria of their work as well as the context in which they operate. Initially, you will be working on a product related to our manufacturing lines.

Amongst other things, you will ...

  • Conduct Design Research: Perform qualitative and quantitative research to gather insights about user behaviours, needs, and pain points, ensuring our services address these effectively, while keeping in mind the overall business objective.
  • Design Service Blueprints: Illustrate the end-to-end process of our services (incl. all touchpoints and interactions), and show how it enables value for the company and each of the involved business units
  • Create User Personas and Journey Maps: Develop detailed profiles, use cases, and map out user journeys to visualize the service experience.
  • Prototype and Test: Create prototypes to test ideas and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business teams, product owners, product development, and delivery teams to implement the service design, ensure the desired adoption and value realisation.
  • Monitor and Improve Services: Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of services and make data-driven improvements.
  • Sell the story: Create compelling presentations to sell your ideas and the overall story of service
  • Facilitate Workshops: Organize and lead workshops with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to co-create solutions, brainstorm ideas, and align on service design strategies. Use techniques such as design thinking, ideation sessions, and collaborative sketching to drive innovation
  • Drive Product Adoption: Design compelling onboarding experiences, provide clear value propositions, and foster a supportive community to encourage users to fully embrace and integrate our products into their daily routines.

What we are looking for

You are adamant that the success of any digital product is rooted in the design of the solution, and that getting your colleagues to use something different requires that it is easy to use, value-adding, and meaningful in the context of their everyday work routines.

Making users happy is mission-critical for you, but you also understand that the design needs to serve a bigger strategic purpose, which ultimately builds a better business across all functions and processes.

The ideal candidate holds some or more of the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience in service design, user experience (UX) design,
    or a related field.
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders from various functions, especially helpful if you have experience working with manufacturing teams
  • Strong research and analytical skills to understand user needs and pain points
  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation to drive design improvements
  • Strong prototyping and testing skills to refine service designs
  • Strong ability to create service blueprints, customer journey maps,
    and other service design artifacts.
  • Excellent visual design skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into user-friendly designs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present and explain design concepts to stakeholders and team members
  • Strong storytelling skills to convey the user experience and design rationale
  • Experience in driving product adoption through engaging and user-centric service design
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Empathy and a user-centric mindset

In addition to this, we expect that you are willing to walk the extra mile for the team and that you are great at aligning stakeholders behind your ideas. We imagine that besides having a relevant degree, you have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience from either another large global company or an international consulting firm.

What you can expect

You can expect to make a difference in the way we deliver IT services across the Group. You will get a job with purpose, meaning, and high impact!

We offer a digital workspace and great development opportunities to progress your career in a global landscape. Most importantly (if you ask us), we offer an informal and social work culture with great and enthusiastic colleagues.
