Global Senior Manager, Foresights & Innovation Insights

 

The Senior Manager of Foresight & Innovation Insights will create strategic foresight and actionable insights to inform innovation pipelines and long-term growth strategies. This role combines trend analysis, innovation development, and performance measurement to help the organization capture future opportunities and mitigate risks.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

Your primary tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Foresight & Trend Analysis: Monitor macro, cultural, tech, and category trends to identify opportunities and risks. Maintain and evolve foresight frameworks and syndicated platforms.
  • Innovation development Insights: Conduct research to uncover unmet needs and whitespace. Partner with Innovation and R&D to embed consumer insights into concept development and size-of-prize assessments.
  • Innovation Performance & Optimization: Build and manage dashboards to track innovation KPIs (adoption, repeat, incremental growth). Conduct post-launch reviews and recommend improvements.
  • Design Thinking & Method: Set global guardrails for agile innovation methods (e.g., social listening, rapid testing, communities, observation, immersion, workshops, AI tools). Embed repeatable sprint approaches across markets.

The required personal qualifications are:

 

  • Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field
  • 8+ years in insights, foresight, or innovation strategy roles (FMCG/CPG experience preferred)
  • Proven track record in trend analysis, consumer research, and innovation performance measurement
  • Experience working in global, cross-functional environments

 

  • Technical & Analytical Skills
  • Familiarity with foresight and trend analysis frameworks (e.g., Horizon Scanning, Futures Wheel)
  • Knowledge of design thinking and agile innovation methods
  • Ability to leverage tools of social listening, rapid testing, and consumer insights, with AI-driven as a plus
  • Advanced skills in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
  • Comfortable with syndicated platforms (e.g., Mintel, Euromonitor, Kantar)

We expect 10-15 travel days per year in the future, depending on the business cycle and following key project developments.
