We are seeking an experienced Head of IT Service & Capability to lead the delivery of IT services and build capabilities that enable Carlsberg’s business transformation

 

This is a unique opportunity to join Carlsberg at a pivotal time, as we embark on significant transformation initiatives including the migration to SAP S/4HANA Rise and the establishment of a Global Capability Centre. Working closely with senior business leaders and IT leadership, you will help define and implement the future IT operating model

 

What you’ll be doing

Your tasks will mainly consist of:

  • Leading end-to-end IT service transitions
  • Developing transition strategy, roadmap, governance, and risk mitigation frameworks.
  • Ensuring minimal disruption to business operations during transitions.
  • Overseeing knowledge transfer, documentation, and operational readiness.
  • Managing vendor relationships and contractual obligations during transitions.
  • Building long-term IT capabilities (skills, tools, governance frameworks, delivery models) within the capability center.
  • Defining and driving a talent development strategy for critical IT skills (cloud, data, cybersecurity, ERP, DevOps, ITSM).
  • Establishing best practices in IT service management, agile, and DevOps.
  • Ensuring compliance with global IT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements (GDPR, etc.).
  • Setting up performance metrics (KPIs, SLAs, OKRs) to track transition and capability outcomes.
  • Partnering with functional IT directors (Applications, Infrastructure, Data, Security) to ensure smooth onboarding of services.
  • Leading cross-functional teams and create a high-performing leadership bench.

 

What we’re looking for

Your skills and profile would preferably include:

  • Proven track of IT leadership experience, including 5–7 years in transition and program management roles.
  • Proven experience in establishing or scaling IT and global capability centers (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage global, cross-cultural teams.
  • Strong track record in IT transitions, service delivery, and large-scale transformation programs.
  • Deep understanding of IT operating models, ITIL/ITSM frameworks, cloud technologies, ERP, and digital platforms.
  • Expertise in vendor management, outsourcing/insourcing strategies, and governance.
  • Exceptional change management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to drive execution while building long-term capabilities.

Carlsberg IIT is the global provider of business services to all functions, regions, and markets in the Carlsberg Group. This includes business process design, system solutions, shared services, and system operations. IIT employs approx. 600 people. A tight collaboration with the local markets is established in all three regions; Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and Asia. Carlsberg IIT is situated in Valby, Copenhagen. Carlsberg IIT is overall responsible for the provision of IT and data services across all Carlsberg functions and markets; the words ‘Technology’ and ‘Information’ are given.
