Are you ready to shape the future of media strategy at Carlsberg and play a key role in our marketing transformation?
We are looking for a strategic leader to join our Global Center of Excellence and define how media contributes to brand and business growth across the Carlsberg Group. This is a newly defined role at the heart of our transformation—setting global direction, influencing & collaborating with senior stakeholders, and building scalable approaches that raise the impact of media across markets.

This role exists to address a critical gap: ensuring media is embedded earlier in the growth planning process and fully connected to brand and commercial priorities. You will operate at the intersection of brand, communication and media—translating growth strategies into integrated, full-funnel media plans, and ensuring touchpoints work together across the consumer journey to deliver measurable business outcomes.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Own and lead Carlsberg’s global media growth planning approach, defining how media drives brand and business growth across the consumer journey
  • Embed sufficiency, attention, and effectiveness principles into brand growth plans
  • Partner with Global Brand Teams to integrate media early in planning cycles and shape growth priorities
  • Define the role of media across the funnel (paid, owned, earned) and guide investment logic across growth stages
  • Develop global principles and guardrails that enable consistent application across markets while allowing local flexibility
  • Ensure commerce and retail media are fully integrated into growth pathways, linking demand creation with conversion
  • Drive cross-brand and cross-market alignment, shaping planning rhythms and key growth moments
  • Partner with Marketing Performance and Insights & Analytics to define learning agendas and feed insights back into future plans
  • Build future-fit planning capabilities, including scenario planning, modelling, and AI-supported decision-making
  • Collaborate across Media Operations, Creative & Experience, and Commerce to ensure plans are executable, measurable, and aligned to how we operate

 

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking a strategic thinker and influencer who can turn brand ambition into clear media direction that drives tangible business impact.

 

Must-Haves

  • Proven experience in media and/or brand strategy, with exposure to both advertiser-side and strategic agency roles
  • Strong understanding of consumer journeys and how media shapes growth across touchpoints, including digital commerce
  • Ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across global and local teams
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and bring diverse teams together around clear direction
  • Forward-looking mindset, with the ability to anticipate trends and shape future ways of working
  • Clear and confident communication skills in English

 

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with modelling, scenario planning, or AI-supported planning tools
  • Familiarity with global media frameworks and performance measurement approaches
  • Commercial mindset with curiosity to identify and unlock new growth opportunities
