Could you be the right fit candidate to be part of a dedicated team of legal professionals, tasked with safeguarding Carlsberg Group assets and integrity, in a fun, fast-paced, and international environment?
Carlsberg Group Legal & Compliance (GLC) is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and curious lawyer to join our Carlsberg Central Office Group Legal team.
Our overall legal and compliance mission is to support the business to grow and mitigate legal & compliance risk so that Carlsberg accomplishes its commercial objectives under the Carlsberg Group SAIL strategy in an efficient and compliant way.
As we are navigating some timeline challenges due to the holiday season, we would appreciate candidates being ready to take part in the process in the coming weeks.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be providing legal support to various Group functions, particularly focused on a full range of contracting matters and providing advice to the business on both contractual and compliance questions.
Specifically, you will:
- Advise on legal, compliance, and contractual matters across group functions (export & license; group treasury; group marketing; innovation and development, M&A, etc.)
- Lead drafting, negotiation, and execution of a full suite of contracts (NDA, export agreements, R&D agreements, supply agreements, etc.)
- Act as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment between legal frameworks and project execution, and strengthening collaboration between group legal and business functions
- Together with subject matter experts, drive risk assessment and mitigation strategies, balancing legal robustness with commercial pragmatism to support business goals
- Provide training for the business and for global legal colleagues
- Contribute to the continuous development of templates, processes, and best practices within group legal and group functions
What we’re looking for
We expect you to have worked with a broad range of contracts, ideally in an international environment; you are used to spotting risks and dealing appropriately with them. You take full end-to-end ownership of your assigned tasks; thrive working independently and contributing to the team; are adept at prioritising; and are not afraid to challenge the status quo.
You may be the person we are looking for if you:
- Are a fully qualified lawyer with 7+ years of relevant commercial experience from a position in a law firm and/or in-house (ideally with an international aspect)
- Are licensed to practice as a lawyer in a relevant jurisdiction
- Have excellent drafting skills coupled with strong analytical skills, and enjoy solving legal problems
- Are keen to build relationships with the business and your team, and contribute to fostering a positive and compassionate work environment
- Have a creative, commercial, and solution-oriented approach focused on achieving business goals
- Have a digital mindset and are keen to embrace AI tools
- Are a team-oriented professional with a collaborative, open mindset willing to embrace innovation and change
- Are flexible and adaptable, with a high degree of self-motivation, and keen to work in a dynamic environment
- Have high ethical standards and a commitment to integrity
- Are fluent in spoken and written English (to contract drafting and negotiation level)
