Join Carlsberg Group as a hands-on Sensory Scientist with real ownership of sensory quality delivery in a global, multi-beverage business. This role combines operational sensory delivery with close collaboration across Quality, Group Development, and breweries worldwide - ensuring robust sensory quality while enabling local ownership.
What you’ll be doing
Your primary tasks and responsibilities include:
- Deliver routine and ad-hoc sensory quality assessments across beers and other beverages
- Ensure consistent, reliable sensory quality execution within clearly defined quality frameworks, procedures, and KPI
- Design and execute sensory tests aligned with business and quality needs
- Prepare samples, analyse data, apply statistics, and clearly report results
- Partner with breweries and local quality teams to build capability and confidence in sensory quality assessment
- Contribute to calibration and alignment of sensory quality execution across sites
- Translate sensory data into clear, decision-ready insights for senior leadership
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Group Development, Quality, and Supply Chain
What we’re looking for
- BSc or MSc in Sensory Science, Food Science, or a related discipline
- Experience delivering sensory quality assessments and working with sensory panels
- FMCG or beverage experience (beer experience is an advantage, not a requirement)
- Solid grounding in sensory methods, data analysis, statistics, and reporting
- Experience with sensory profiling and sensory software (e.g. Compusense advantageous)
- Comfortable working in structured, procedure-driven, KPI-focused quality environments
- People-oriented and collaborative, able to guide and support others without formal line management
- Clear and professional communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders in a global, multicultural contex.
