Who we are:
The Global Sponsorships team is a specialist team within Group Marketing that leads the global sponsorship strategy and plays a key role in the activation of sponsorship assets. Carlsberg is a long-standing partner with world world-renowned football club and recent Premier League Champions, Liverpool FC, and we have recently signed a long-term partnership with UEFA, becoming the Official beer of UEFA National Team Football.
Our main role is to lead the global sponsorship strategy across global brands (Carlsberg, Tuborg, 1664 Blanc, Grimbergen, Brooklyn, Somersby and Garage), manage the on-site activation across Carlsberg’s football sponsorships and work with local markets in bringing global and local sponsorships to life.
What you’ll be doing:
As the Sponsorship Events & Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the global hospitality program at Liverpool FC, including working day to day with our hospitality agency and LFC accounts team. You will work with local markets to deliver in-market experiences, including LFC legends appearances and you will be instrumental in delivering internal and external events in Copenhagen and abroad.
You will be part of the team delivering UEFA National Football competitions, including Nations League Finals, European Qualifiers, Futsal and EURO’s for Men and Women. You will work closely with the global brand team, host market teams and agencies, ensuring a smooth delivery and a great experience for our consumers and customers.
The role reports directly to the Global Sponsorships Director.
Your primary tasks and responsibilities include:
- Leading the global hospitality program at LFC, including managing the Hospitality agency based in Liverpool, and co-creating unforgettable experiences for the global guests.
- Deliver in-market Legends appearances, working closely with local teams, liaising with LFC account management team and on-site delivery.
- Deliver internal and external LFC events both in Copenhagen, Liverpool and in our markets, working closely with internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver UEFA EURO Futsal, UEFA Nations League Finals, European Qualifiers hospitality program (2025, 2026, 2027),
- Lead on-site delivery of UEFA Futsal EURO 2026, UEFA Nations League Finals 2027, U21 2027, working closely with the Global Brand team, host markets, agencies and UEFA account team
- Lead the Global Hospitality program for UEFA EURO 2028 and UEFA Women’s EURO 2029, including leading the agency pitch process and delivering on-site and working with UEFA accounts team
- Work closely with the Global brand teams for the on-site delivery of consumer experiences for UEFA EURO 2028 and UEFA Women’s EURO 2029.
What we’re looking for:
To be a great candidate for this role and the team, we are looking for someone who:
- Has a minimum of 5+ years of experience in an events role on either the client or agency side
- Relevant education and/or training within the events industry
- Has experience in translating brand positioning into memorable moments
- Has experience with the end-to-end delivery of events, including working with agencies
- Is creative, open-minded, and willing to learn
- Has solid stakeholder and project management skills
- Can effectively collaborate and has a can-do mindset
- Enjoys working in an international environment
- You don’t have to like football
- Is ready to spend up to 40 days per year traveling
