Then we have a challenging role focused on improving our Value Management and revenue growth management capabilities, mainly in Europe. You will be working as a Value Management (VM) Business Analyst in the Group Sales & Value Management team located in Carlsberg’s global corporate head office in the heart of Copenhagen.

 

The VM team is a global function that aims to build revenue growth management capabilities, which we at Carlsberg call VM, across the commercial organization, above and in markets. We are transforming the way we do VM by focusing on capability development, covering both the operating model, implementation of advanced analytical solutions, and change management. Within VM, we work with different levers (Pricing, Promotion, Assortment & Trade Terms), and with technology advancements, we experience these levers becoming more integrated, why we are taking a new approach to VM. Your key task (and the team’s key task) is to ensure implementation and embedment of this approach in our markets across Europe.

 

You will be part of a fun, ambitious and dynamic international team focusing on implementing VM mainly in our Modern Off-Trade markets in Europe. As a result, you will gain a great level of exposure to different functions, markets, and stakeholders as well as solid VM knowledge (from Strategy to Execution & Embedment).

 

What you’ll be doing

The role is designed to support on implementing our VM programme in European markets, where you will be working on implementing more advanced tech-enabled VM solutions and embedding a new operating model and ways of working in markets to raise Carlsberg’s capability level. As part of your responsibilities, you will:

 

  • Develop and roll out VM capabilities and frameworks (such as Pack/price architecture, Promo Analytics, Pricing Scenario Modelling) to the new markets and embed them sustainably.
  • Support local market teams in the journey from the technical solution set-up of advanced VM tooling to the commercial action plan, training market teams in new solutions and working with them to embed new practices in local ways of working.
  • Drive VM analysis and action planning alongside market teams, including an understanding of the commercial background and the key commercial challenge we are trying to solve through VM.
  • Engage with IT, Insights team, and external partners to drive data & analytics automation.
  • Support the engagement of the VM Community, drive the annual calendar for community sessions and encourage best practice sharing among markets.
  • Provide ad-hoc support and troubleshooting to the markets where needed (on any of the VM levers and their embedment to the commercial cycle, data, automation, and good practice sharing).

 

The Role engages with beverages across Carlsberg’s portfolio, mainly in Europe and will involve travelling when implementing programmes in markets, with varying intensity – in some periods we travel a few days every week, other periods travel is limited. The Role is reporting to the Value Management Director in the Group Central Office in Copenhagen.

 

What we’re looking for

  • 2-3 years of experience in FMCG/ CPG Commercial roles. Experience in Revenue Growth Management / Route to Market / Sales Development is an advantage.
  • Analytical mindset with proven track record.
  • Strong data structuring and analysis skills.
  • Good level of business acumen.
  • Experience with project management and a strong drive to transform businesses.
  • Have a natural skill to drive change and dare to take a leadership role when a task presents itself.
  • Self- and results-driven, highly organized, detail-oriented and must have an aptitude for problem solving.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team player who can work in tight timelines and deliver under pressure.
  • Knowledge of internal (e.g., P&L) and external (e.g., Nielsen, point-of-sales data) data structures is an advantage.
  • Advanced English level, both written and spoken.
