Carlsberg Group are currently looking for Regional Category Manager who will have the opportunity to develop and execute procurement strategies for Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) and Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) within the designated region. You will be responsible for ensuring cost efficiency, supplier performance, and risk mitigation while aligning with business needs and global procurement objectives.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement CAPEX & MRO category strategies in alignment with business objectives and regional procurement goals.
- Conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and cost modelling to drive competitive advantages.
- Ensure procurement activities align with budgetary constraints and investment priorities.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and finance teams to optimize CAPEX investments and MRO supply chain reliability.
- Operate within the 8 Step Engineering process for large CAPEX projects
- Lead contract negotiations and supplier selection for CAPEX projects and MRO service agreements.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships to drive performance, innovation, and risk mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, KPIs, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure supplier quality, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery.
Experience and Key Attributes:
- Extensive experience of strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations and contract management in an engineering field.
- Prior exposure in a procurement role, focusing on CAPEX, MRO and indirect procurement.
- Ability to manage multi-country procurement activities within a regional scope.
- Proficiency in procurement systems (SAP Ariba, Coupa, or similar)
- Fluency in English; additional European languages (French, German, Spanish, or Italian) are a plus.
- Understanding of total cost of ownership (TCO), cost modeling, and risk management.
- Ability to manage, negotiate and lead key stakeholders across all levels of the business.
- Current working rights for either UK or Europe.
