Packaging Manager
You will join the Integrated Supply Chain function at our Induno Olona site and will be responsible for the management, development and continuous improvement of the Packaging department. You will ensure that packaging activities are carried out safely and in compliance with quality, service and cost standards, contributing to the achievement of the Brewery’s performance, efficiency and continuous improvement objectives.
In particular, you will be responsible for:
- ensuring the smooth running, operational continuity and performance of the Packaging department, from product receipt through to finished pallets at the end of the line;
- ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, food safety, hygiene, quality requirements, as well as internal and Group standards;
- leading the Packaging team, developing skills, accountability, engagement and ways of working in line with business priorities and Carlsberg standards;
- ensuring the delivery of agreed production plans in line with quality, cost and service level requirements;
- monitoring and improving departmental KPIs, analysing performance, losses, efficiency, quality, reliability and improvement opportunities;
- promoting and leading continuous improvement activities through Lean TPM, GEMBA Kaizen, SMED, 5S, problem solving, process confirmation and root cause analysis methodologies;
- managing the departmental budget, including OPEX and CAPEX, contributing to the site’s long-term development plans and investment projects;
- working closely with Maintenance, Quality, H&S, Procurement, Controlling, P&C, Planning, Regional stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure operational continuity.

- you have strong expertise in managing production processes, packaging lines, production plans, operating standards and departmental performance;
- you are familiar with the main regulatory, environmental, safety, food safety, hygiene and quality requirements applicable to a production environment;
- you are used to working with KPIs related to performance, efficiency, quality, reliability, losses, costs and continuous improvement;
- you have experience in leading teams, developing people and coordinating operational, project-based and change-related activities;
- you are able to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders, managing operational priorities, budgets, internal and external stakeholders and continuous improvement initiatives.
- A degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification is preferred;
- at least 10+ years’ experience in industrial packaging production environments;
- solid knowledge of packaging processes, safety, quality, food safety and hygiene standards, as well as key production management principles;
- experience in managing budgets, improvement projects, plant development plans and CAPEX initiatives;
- familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, Lean TPM, problem solving, KPI management, autonomous/preventive maintenance and tools such as GEMBA Kaizen, SMED and 5S;
- good knowledge of English and excellent knowledge of Italian.
