Regional Manager – South-East Asia & Oceania

 

We are looking for a commercially driven and hands-on Regional Manager to lead Carlsberg Export & License’s business across South-East Asia & Oceania, including key markets such as Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines.

 

The role holds full P&L responsibility for this key Export & License region, driving sustainable growth across Beer, Cider, and Non-Alcoholic beverages including Energy Drinks – across segments, brands, markets, and channels ranging from established leadership positions to challenger and all-new growth opportunities.

 

You will be responsible for developing and executing growth strategies, strengthening partnerships, and designing future-fit Route-to-Market, sourcing, and commercial execution models that accelerate profitable growth.

At the same time, you will play a critical role in building strong brands and leading On-Trade development as a key driver of brand equity, visibility, and premium positioning, alongside delivering volume, market share, and profitability.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

Your tasks will include:

Own Regional Performance & Growth

  • Full P&L ownership for export and license in South-East Asia & Oceania
  • Set and deliver consistent top- and bottom-line growth targets through strong commercial execution and partner performance
  • Develop and execute ambitious regional strategies, budgets, and long-term plans

Build Strong Brands & Channel Presence

  • Drive brand-building and equity development with ATL and BTL through license/export partners and with dedicated marketing team support
  • Build and develop On-Trade operations as a key growth and brand-building activation channel
  • Lead initiatives that enhance brand visibility, activation quality, and consumer experience in-market
  • Leverage strong brand positions, including Somersby as the market leader in cider in Australia

Develop Winning Route-to-Market Models

  • Design and embed future-fit RTM and commercial operating models across the region
  • Strengthen sourcing, distribution, and partner set-ups to unlock growth
  • Lead key RTM transformations in priority markets

Accelerate Portfolio & Premium Growth

  • Drive premiumisation and market share expansion across categories and channels
  • Expand Carlsberg’s presence across Beer, Cider, and Non-Alcoholic segments
  • Identify and activate new growth pockets within existing markets

Lead and Grow Partnerships

  • Build and strengthen relationships with licensees, distributors, and strategic partners
  • Act as the face of Carlsberg in the region, engaging with customers and key stakeholders across all levels
  • Align cross-functional teams across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain

Unlock New Business Opportunities

  • Identify, develop, and deliver New Business opportunities across the region
  • Drive market entry strategies, new segment initiatives, and portfolio expansion
  • Lead end-to-end business case development and implementation

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Degree in Sales, Marketing and/or Business Management
  • 10+ years of experience in FMCG or beverage industry, with a strong commercial track record; experience/network in the Australian beverage market strongly preferred
  • Strong background across sales operations, marketing, business development, and P&L management
  • Experience in Route-to-Market, distributor and partner-led business models is an advantage
  • Strong commercial acumen and growth mindset, combining analytical thinking with execution excellence
  • Ability to operate across both strategic and operational levels, from planning to in-market execution
  • Strong stakeholder, negotiation, and influencing skills across functions, markets, and cultures
  • Experience in navigating complexity and driving multiple projects towards successful outcomes
  • Strong drive & action orientation – exceptional agility, motivation, ownership, and accountability to take massive action and deliver operational results at pace
  • Entrepreneurial with a growth mindset – brings ideas, challenges the status quo, and creates momentum, in sync with CE&L strategy and management
  • Hands-on operator – thrives in market with customers and partners, while also on top of numbers and Carlsberg Group reporting routines with ease
  • Comfortable working across multiple geographies and time zones
  • The role requires significant travel and time spent with partners and in the field
