What you’ll be doing

The purpose of your position will be leading and managing the Finance Central Business Partnering and controlling activities, reporting into Finance Director and leading a team of 2 professionals.

You’ll be the owner of Carlsberg Italia's key financial planning and performance management processes, including Actuals, Monthly Performance Reviews (MPRs), Budget, Revised Estimates and the 3-Year Strategic Plan.

Acting as a trusted advisor to the Senior Leadership Team, the Finance Central Business Partner drives financial insight, strategic decision support, business performance transparency and value creation across the organization.

The role plays a critical part in supporting Carlsberg Italia's growth ambitions by ensuring that business decisions are grounded in robust financial analysis, disciplined investment management and a relentless focus on profitable growth.

 

Lead Financial Planning, Performance Management & Strategic Planning

  • Own and lead Carlsberg Italia's core financial planning and performance management processes, including Actuals, Monthly Performance Reviews (MPRs), Annual Budget, Revised Estimates and the 3-Year Strategic Plan.
  • Lead the preparation, consolidation and presentation of Actuals, Budget, Revised Estimates and Strategic Plan submissions, ensuring accuracy, consistency and transparency.
  • Drive Monthly Performance Reviews, providing meaningful business insights, variance analysis and clear recommendations to management.
  • Ensure timely identification and communication of risks and opportunities, supporting proactive decision-making and corrective actions.
  • Challenge assumptions and provide forward-looking insights to improve forecasting accuracy and business performance.
  • Act as the key finance coordinator between local functions and Regional Finance throughout planning and reporting cycles.
  • Ensure consistency, quality and continuous improvement across management reporting and planning activities.
  • Support the development of growth scenarios, investment decisions and long-term business plans.

Drive Brand Profitability & Investment Effectiveness 

  • Lead the financial evaluation and monitoring of Brand and Trade Marketing investments.
  • Partner closely with Commercial and Marketing teams to maximize brand profitability and return on investment.

Ensure Financial Discipline & Resource Allocation

  • Own the governance and management of SG&A, OCM and overhead expenses across the organization.
  • Ensure disciplined spending, accurate allocation and effective forecasting of operating expenses.
  • Oversee Capex planning, allocation, forecasting and investment governance processes.
  • Promote financial accountability and cost awareness throughout the business.

Lead Transformation & Continuous Improvement

  • Champion automation, simplification and digitalization of finance processes and reporting.
  • Enhance management reporting capabilities and strengthen data-driven decision-making.
  • Drive process improvements and best-practice sharing in collaboration with local and regional finance teams.
  • Continuously improve the efficiency, quality and relevance of financial information provided to the business.

Lead People

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of finance professionals.
  • Foster a high-performance culture built on collaboration, accountability and continuous learning.
  • Provide direction, prioritization and development opportunities to ensure team success.

 

What we’re looking for:

You are highly engaged, flexible, and you are business and target oriented. You have excellent analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities and you are able to translate complex financial information into concise, actionable business insights.

You got a MS degree in Finance, Economics or a related field and a significant experience (7/10 years) in FP&A, Business Controlling, Commercial Finance or Finance Business Partnering within an international environment.

You have strong financial planning, forecasting and performance management expertise and proven experience leading Budget, Forecast, Actuals and Strategic Planning processes.

You have strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with excellent communication and presentation skills.

You are a consistent leader with the passion for developing people and building high-performing teams.

Languages:

  • English: Fluent written and spoken
  • Italian: Fluent written and spoken (preferable)

EU citizen.

Salary pack:

Gross Annual Salary range: 60 – 70.000 €

STI: 10%

Hybrid work (smartworking max 2 days/week)

 

Workplace: Milano (Italy), via Washington.
