Role overview
As a Material Supply Planning Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable supply of packaging and raw materials across Western Europe. You will work closely with suppliers, procurement, and planning teams to secure the proper flow of materials to our breweries, ensure stock availability, and coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain stable operations.
What you’ll be doing
- Ensuring end-to-end material supply planning for a defined portfolio of raw and packaging materials, based on production plans and business requirements
- Co-leading automation agenda for existing tools and processes. Identify new opportunities and improvements for the reports on material availability and supplier performance (including high-level data accuracy checks)
- Monitoring supplier performance, especially OTIF (On-Time In-Full), investigating root causes of shortages or delays, and leading follow-up actions.
- Collaborating closely with suppliers to confirm orders and address the most important issues affecting material availability.
- Managing monthly material planning cycles, including volume reviews, forecast validation, and cooperation on decisions on alternative sourcing when needed.
- Participating in annual budget and quarterly estimates preparation by leading the material data workstream for material volume submission
- Conducting analyses on inventory levels, consumption patterns, safety stocks, and capacity constraints, and preparing planning reports for internal stakeholders.
- Identifying gaps, inefficiencies, or risks in planning processes and proposing improvements to optimize supply chain performance.
- Working cross-functionally with supply planners, procurement teams, logistics, local operating companies, and other internal partners.
- Acting as a point of guidance for planners and supporting knowledge-sharing within the team when required.
- Representing Western Europe Planning in multifunctional collaboration projects with Suppliers (e.g., process improvement, new material launch, and change)
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who:
- has working experience (min. 4 years) in various planning areas (material planning would be beneficial)
- has an in-depth understanding of supply chain processes and material flow
- has prior managerial experience, including working in a matrix organization
- has direct experience in the supplier management area (incl. negotiations, joint business collaboration, etc)
- is experienced in SAP; knowledge of APO or advanced planning tools would be beneficial.
- has a good understanding of reporting applications and various databases, supported by very good MS Excel skills (data visualization in Power BI would be beneficial)
- can set priorities and perform in a busy work setting with minimum support
- can effectively collaborate on the agenda with peer stakeholders as well as higher levels of organization, including decision-making
- has very good communication skills, consistently engages with a high language proficiency, and is fluent in English
- has worked in, and enjoys working in, a diverse and international environment;
- has a teamwork approach
- has solid analytical skills
- quickly moves ideas to action, completes plans and projects with quality and speed, and, in the process, fulfills the company’s objectives.
- holds an APICS or equivalent certification (advantage), or has procurement experience (advantage)
