Our new Senior Internal Control Specialist will play an important role in maintaining Carlsberg’s internal control framework and monitoring its effectiveness throughout the Group.

The candidate with the right skills will have a valuable opportunity to develop and improve the future set-up of internal controls across the whole organization.

 

What you will be doing

  • Reporting to the Senior Manager, Risk & Internal Controls in Poznan.
  • Implementing initiatives for continuous improvement of our global internal control environment through providing support and guidance on internal control related topics.
  • Conducting internal controls testing in the Markets as well as the Shared Service Centre across key business processes, sharing best practices and enhancement recommendations.
  • Reporting on the effectiveness of internal controls and the results of the local markets’ control self-assessments.
  • Maintaining tools and methodology for monitoring control effectiveness.
  • Participating in projects throughout the Group and ensure sufficient focus on internal controls.
  • Working closely with many colleagues and stakeholders across the Carlsberg Group.

 

What we're looking for

We are looking for a person who has:

  • 3-4 years of experience in internal controls, internal audit, external audit, or a related field (e.g., controlling).
  • In-depth understanding of core end-to-end processes (RtR, StP, MtI, CtC, HrR etc.)
  • Proficient analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends and patterns in the effectiveness of controls. Ability to compare and assess control performance over time, uncover insights, and present findings.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear and insightful reports in English.
  • Is keen to details, tech oriented, insightful and who collaborates easily with different stakeholders.
  • Maintains objectivity while gathering, evaluating information, and drawing conclusions. Asks questions to uncover root causes of issues and collaborates with management to support them in defining remediation actions addressing problems identified during testing.
  • Professionalism and accountability: Capable of organizing tasks efficiently while consistently delivering high-quality work on time and meeting performance standards.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, with a focus on producing professional documentation and presentations.
  • Proficient presentation skills, able to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels. Knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise systems is a plus.
  • Can understand and live the Carlsberg values.
