Role overview

Carlsberg Export & License has an ambitious growth strategy in Asia and is hiring Supply Chain Specialist based in Korea with extensive experience within Logistics and Supply Chain to support our business.

What you’ll be doing

As a Supply Chain Specialist, your primary tasks and responsibilities is forecasting inbound inventory requirements and coordinating supply planning activities to ensure products and materials are available at the right time and in the right quantities. This role works closely with suppliers, procurement, logistics, 3p warehouse operations, and commercial teams to optimize inbound flows, maintain inventory availability, and minimize excess stock and logistics costs.

1. Demand Planning

• Develop and maintain inbound demand forecasts based on historical demand, sales plans, inventory levels, promotions, seasonality, and business requirements.
• Analyse demand and supply data to identify potential shortages, excess inventory, and inbound capacity constraints.
• Translate demand forecasts into inbound supply and replenishment requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure timely production, shipment, and delivery of goods.
• Monitor purchase orders, supplier commitments, lead times, shipment schedules, and inbound delivery performance.
• Identify risks to product availability and develop mitigation plans for supply or delivery disruptions.
• Maintain accurate planning parameters, including lead times, safety stock, minimum order quantities, and reorder points.
• Prepare regular reports and dashboards covering forecast accuracy, inventory levels, inbound performance, and supply risks.
• Analyse planning variances and recommend improvements to inventory and inbound logistics processes.
• Support monthly/weekly demand and supply planning meetings with relevant stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to forecasting, inventory optimization, supplier performance, and inbound logistics efficiency.

2. Import/Inbound

• Coordinate import shipments, including sea, air, and land freight.
• Prepare, verify, and maintain import documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading/air waybills, certificates of origin, and customs documents.
• Track shipments and provide regular updates on shipment status and estimated arrival dates.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, suppliers, and transport companies.
• Work closely with logistics and 3P warehouse teams to align inbound volumes with transportation and storage capacity.
• MFDS inspection handling, Labelling with legal requirement
• Monitor customs clearance procedures and ensure required documents are submitted accurately and on time.
• Review import duties, taxes, freight charges, and other related costs.
• Arrange transportation and delivery of cleared cargo to warehouses or designated locations.
• Resolve shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, customs issues, and other operational problems.
• Maintain accurate import records and update internal systems with shipment and clearance information.
• Ensure all import activities comply with company policies and applicable customs and trade regulations.
• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, finance, and sales teams regarding incoming shipments.
• Prepare import reports and assist with cost analysis and operational improvements.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with Sales and Marketing teams to align import schedules with customer demand and product availability.
• Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders regarding shipment delays, shortages, quality issues, customs risks, and changes in delivery timelines.
• Support cross-functional discussions to resolve import, supply, inventory, and delivery issues.
• Establish clear communication and escalation processes to ensure fast decision-making and issue resolution.
• Drive cross-functional improvement initiatives to reduce lead times, import costs, inventory risks, and operational inefficiencies.
• Provide manager with regular updates on import status, risks, costs, KPIs, and action plans.

What we’re looking for

• Experience: +5 years of experience in the FMCG and Beverage industry
• Working experiences from food & beverage industry preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
• Experience in import operations, logistics, freight forwarding, or customs clearance is preferred.
• Good knowledge of import documentation and international shipping procedures.
• Familiarity with customs regulations and Incoterms.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Fluent English communication/writing skills; additional languages are an advantage.
