We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Apprentice, Corporate Reporting to join our Finance team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in corporate reporting, month-end closing, financial reconciliations, audit support, and internal control activities. Working closely with experienced finance professionals, you will assist with financial reporting, annual reporting, Bursa reporting requirements, audit documentation, and process improvement initiatives while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. What you’ll be doing
- Support month-end closing and financial reporting activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including Bursa reporting requirements.
- Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of reconciling items.
- Support annual reporting activities by compiling financial information and preparing supporting schedules.
- Assist with external and internal audits by preparing audit schedules, documentation, and responding to audit queries.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of internal control documentation, including the Control Framework for Financial Reporting (CFFR).
- Assist in financial consolidation, account reconciliations, physical counts, stakeholder confirmations, and information requests.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation in line with company policies and compliance requirements.
- Participate in finance process improvement initiatives and support ad hoc projects and assignments as required.
What we’re looking for
- A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, with the ability to prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations, and maintain accurate financial documentation.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, including formulas, Pivot Tables, and basic data analysis.
- A strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- A proactive and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn, take initiative, and continuously improve.
- A team-oriented individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A well-organised and systematic approach to managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- A responsible and accountable work ethic, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- A resilient and adaptable mindset, capable of handling multiple tasks during peak reporting periods.
- A familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems would be an added advantage.

Requirements:
- A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
- A minimum CGPA of 3.00 (Second Class Upper) or an equivalent academic qualification.
- A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, including formulas, Pivot Tables, and basic data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- A proactive, responsible, and accountable attitude, with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle peak reporting periods.
