The Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) in Switzerland integrates a number of central functions in the Carlsberg Group: H&S, Quality, Procurement, Production, Logistics and Planning. Group H&S is developing, communicating and driving an effective coordinated H&S Strategy for ISC and commercial teams. As part of our growth, We are opening this position for a Director CapEx & MRO Procurement Group to develop, communicate category strategy at Global Level to optimize the Total Cost of Ownership for Carlsberg Breweries. Also, position held responsibility for direct management of top 20 Globally present suppliers (strategy, contracting, negotiation).
The role will have significant impact on the overall category strategy and business plan and will act as commercial project leader on cross functional projects within the category. The position is expected to be the main driver creating savings and spend insight at Global level including transparency on processes and policies which regions/market are about to implement. Additionally, the position is expected to report and share findings, savings and transferring best practice experiences that can be further deployed in the Regions.

The position is expected to make significant impact to bottom line savings and standardized WoW for Carlsberg Breweries and requires close cooperation with all members of the CapEx & MRO regional teams as well as with relevant stakeholders in Carlsberg Supply Chain company at all levels.

Professional qualifications/ competencies

  • Experienced managing internal customer and external supplier relationships
  • Experienced project management
  • High level negotiation experience
  • Cross-functional & cross culture change management understanding
  • Good understanding of development and implementation of sourcing strategies
  • Understanding of complex organizational interdependencies
  • International background within strategic sourcing
  • Experience with sourcing systems and e-tool solutions
  • Capable of analysing independently the market, suppliers and alternative backup possibilities
  • Strong understanding of TCO.

 

Education:

  • A higher education in Procurement or equivalent to a Bachler degree or above.

 

Experience:

  • Min. 10 years relevant experience related to sourcing of products/services is a must, within all aspects of strategic and tactical sourcing on global or regional in a technical category.
  • International work experience in related industry is preferred
  • Experienced in negotiations on international level
  • Experience with international commercial contracts and agreements
  • Analytical skills to independently perform market, supplier and competitor analysis
  • Ability to work cross functionally in project work and project management
  • Qualified project management skills
  • Solid experience with use of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models
  • Thorough technical understanding and knowledge
  • General IT literacy. Mastering data mining
  • Knowledge of ERPs
  • Familiarity and management of  e-Catalogues
  • Experience with sourcing of MRO for FMCG goods, preferable beverages
  • FMCGs is preferred

 

Language:

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Other language skills (spoken) will be considered as a plus

 

Job responsibilities:

 

Category Strategy

  • Develop, formulate and deliver short, medium, term sourcing strategy to ensure best TCO and security of supply for Carlsberg.
  • Align strategy and tactics with key stakeholders
  • Map internal and external spend and create spend transparency
  • Describe and develop the organization needed to support implementation of strategies
  • Respond country saving reporting and contract management to meet group requirement
  • Act as catalyst for implementation of  savings within CAPEX & MRO, e.g. through standardization, frame agreements, etc.
  • Establish & maintain competitive CapEx & MRO contracts for relevant Global suppliers
  • Acquire information and best practice and share it all regions
  • Develop and report relevant data related to target setting, savings and budget processes
  • Drive local monitoring of TCO and ensure regular feedback form local business units
  • Establish a supplier evaluation scheme for MRO/TCO contracts
  • Target lowest global cost for Carlsberg Breweries
  • Keep Preferred Manufacturers list up-to-date (Supplier Panel)
  • Assist in development of supporting procurement systems and processes
  • Actively support central and national business and budget plans
  • Represent Group Procurement in strategic MRO projects with suppliers, securing successful implementation and ensuring optimized synergy savings and lowest TCO from a Group point of view

 

Negotiation and supplier relationship skills

  • Lead negotiations on Group level
  • Target lowest global costs and highest value for Carlsberg Breweries
  • Ensure Carlsberg is the preferred customer for key suppliers.
  • Carry out SRM, develop qualified CapEx & MRO supplier pool

 

Project management

  • Continuously analyse the supply market to identify new opportunities
  • Align with all relevant business functions in achieving strategic company targets
  • Secure sharing of information and support for the local organisations and business units
  • Develop and participate in cross functional teams 

 

Continuous improvement of value and quality

  • Implement, support and ensure the use of relevant strategic and tactical sourcing processes in regard to sourcing of indirect services across the group
  • Identify and implement cost savings opportunities
  • Communicate, co-operate and involve relevant stakeholders in order to drive the overall strategy.
  • Support and actively promote the Procurement function
  • Engage and secure an open and direct dialogue with stakeholders
