Manager, Group Procurement Excellence – Sourcing and Category Management

The position holder is a member of the Procurement insight and Excellence Group Team, reporting into the Director: Group Procurement Excellence.
This Manager role will be responsible for developing Strategies and processes for how Carlsberg is driving Sourcing, and category management / strategy creation. The role will own, develop and deploy group Source to Contract processes, best practices, toolboxes, systems, procedures, etc. under the leadership of the Director Group Procurement Excellence and in close collaboration and partnership with the regional Procurement teams and workstream leads in CarlEx@Procurement and in alignment with other relevant functions (e.g., Finance, Group Development and GIA). Including in this, is the ownership, roll-out and maintenance of the Sourcing Handbook.
The job holder is responsible for ensuring up to date policies and manuals (COM) for sourcing to contract is developed, matured and integrated across Group and Regions.

Professional qualifications / competencies:
- Excellent Sourcing and Category Management strategy and process management skills. (e.g., from other Procurement organisations)
- Excellent procedure skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent strategic program management skills (e.g., from consultancy).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Significant presentation and facilitation skills
- Significant knowledge of the Procurement strategy and tools landscape.
- Significant Procurement skills from international companies with experience of matrix organization.
- Good IT literacy
Education:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's or University degree is required.
- Advanced scientific degree (MS) or MBA is preferred
Experience:
- Proven strategic program management and analytical skills.
- Min 5 years working experience as procurement category managers
- Min 5 years’ experience in multi-national companies of FMCG/food beverage industry is a plus
Language:
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Other languages will be considered as an advantage.
Job responsibilities:
- The position is responsible for developing, reviewing, maintaining, and implementing Procurement Group-wide Sourcing, Category Management processes. Part of the job will be identifying optimal balance between agility and governance.
- The position is responsible for all Procurement relevant category strategy templates (including Sourcing Handbook) and associated policies, manuals, and procedures and how to embed them in technology. The job holder is also responsible for benchmarking best practices.
- The position is responsible for developing / refining an effective and efficient training (including E-Learning) and communication program for relevant stakeholders.
- The development/refinement of an internal control framework ensuring documented compliance.
- Working in collaboration with other members of the team to identify key performance indicators for the area.
- As part of the role, the job holders should also seek formal feedback from direct stakeholders (e.g. Category Manager) on processes / systems / templates managed with the view of constantly improve them.
- Finally, the position is responsible for co-developing, reviewing, maintaining, and implementing a Procurement capability building program for the areas.
